Alberto is the Chief Technology Officer of Alpha's Health Moonshot, where he is defining the technology strategy and overseeing the design and delivery of breakthrough technology. Prior to joining Alpha, Alberto built and cultivated world-class teams as a CTO for an award-winning start up, as well as for large scale EU-funded projects.
Aleksandar Matic is the Head of Research Team at Alpha’s Health Moonshot. He is responsible for defining research plan, for establishing and managing collaboration with leading universities and research partners, and for leading the team of scientific researchers with expertise in data science, machine learning, complex networks and behavioural analysis. Aleksandar authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, 8 patent applications, and he has regularly served as a chair in conference committees (such as Mobile HCI, Pervasive Health, Digital Health, …) and as a guest editor in various journals in the area of health informatics. Tarek R. Besold
AI Lead of Alpha’s Health Moonshot. He and his team of fellow research scientists and engineers engage with R&D work in the three topical areas Explainable AI, Empathic AI, and Privacy-Preserving AI – together with a growing group of partners from academia and industry developing and delivering the foundations of Alpha Health’s “trustworthy technology”. Before joining Alpha, Tarek was an assistant professor in Data Science at City, University of London. He serves in different editorial functions for several scientific journals and is the chair of the national German DIN Working Group on Standards and Norms for Artificial Intelligence (member of ISO/IEC JTC-1 SC42).
Emily leads marketing and growth for Alpha Health. She has previously worked in a range of marketing, operations and commercial roles at Telefonica, and at Silicon Valley startup TokBox. She is also a One Young World Ambassador and a Reforge alumni.
Ollie is responsible for overall strategy within Telefonica Alpha’s Health Moonshot, alongside establishing and maintaining strong partnerships, and business model development. He has extensive experience in strategy and innovation across a range of sectors. Before joining Alpha he was Director of Strategy and Innovation at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, responsible for investing £100m over five years in innovations across acute, primary, and integrated care, and biomedical research and digital health. He was a Senior Civil Servant in the UK Department of Health; responsible for UK Tobacco Control Policy, and wrote the government’s first comprehensive childhood obesity strategy. Oliver was also a Policy Adviser in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit under Tony Blair. He has a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University.
Remko is the VP of Product for Alpha Health where he is responsible for developing and launching products and services. Prior to Alpha, Remko has held product roles across a number of sectors at companies including Wallpaper, Renault, Financial Times, Electrolux, Warner Brothers and the British Council.
